Baseball!

Levi and Joel just finished a great season of baseball. They were lucky to have great coaches and teams with great parents too. It was such a fun season and they both learned a lot while having fun. This was Joel's first season of baseball and it was a combination of coaches pitch and t-ball. It was Levi's third season and last to play coaches pitch. It's hard to believe he will be playing kids pitch next! They each want to play soccer in the fall, but are looking forward to playing baseball again the next spring.

Field Day!

Levi and Joel had a fun field day with beautiful, cool, overcast weather! They had a blast playing all the games with their class mates. Levi is very competitive and may have shed some tears a few times because of losing tug of war and a cheating classmate, but I think he still had a nice time. My sister, Molly, came over and watched the little two for me, so I was able to go alone watch them participate without distractions, which was so nice! I love seeing my boys in action at school with their teachers and friends.

Rachel is 10 Months Old!

In 2 short months my Rachey Lou will be a year old! I think her babyhood is flying by even faster than any of the boys, and I just can't get my brain to catch up to the fact that she is 10 months old. Lou is such a sweet and happy baby, but she is getting spunkier and feistier by the minute. She is learning the art of crying to get what you want and has started doing this over-dramatic angry cry when she is offended or doesn't get what she wants. Her cry starts loud and then quickly moves to the silent cry where she holds her breath so much she starts to turn blue. There have even been a couple of times when she has nearly fainted and gone a little limp from the exhaustion of her dramatics. We might be in for it! Ha! Other wise, Lemon is a busy, happy, curious and independent little girl and we all love having her around. She is a big flirt and can give the biggest cheesey grins.

NEW SKILLS:
walking!!! (taking lots of steps up to 10-15 at a time, but still crawls when she wants to go fast)
drinking water well from a sippy or straw
Says "all done" "bye bye" and "dog"

Stats:
Clothes - 12 months
Shoes - 2 or 3
Daipers - 3
7 teeth and hair over her ears and on her neck

Rachel's hair has really started to come in and seems to almost be growing longer every day. I might be imagining things, but she seems to be starting to have a little bit of curl along the back of her neck. Is is vain to want your daughter to have hair similar to your own? No matter what, she is adorable, smart and a gift. We love our baby girl!

Joel is SIX!

Today, Joel is six whole years old! Wow, those years flew by! Joely Poley is a smart, tender hearted, loyal, creative, energetic and thoughtful little boy. He loves being with his friends and family, but also enjoys a little alone time every day. At this age Joel is very sensitive and emotional. Not a day goes by that he doesn't get his feelings hurt or cry about something. This trait also makes him sympathetic towards others. I sure do love my Joel. I was just telling him all about the day he was born this morning before he left for school. His labor and birth were by far my favorite! It was smooth, not too long or too short, a quick transition and pushing phase and gave me such a cute, squishy, snuggly baby to hold. It was a great day and I thank God for the experience and the sweet boy I get to call mine as a result!
