Yesterday Levi turned 2 months old and today he had his 2 month check up at the Doctor's office. I feel like he has always been a part of our little family, yet at the same time I feel like it was just yesterday that he was still in my pregnant belly. I guess I will be feeling this way at every milestone. Philip and I were just talking last night how we can't imagine our life without him and how much we love him and think he is just about as perfect as can be! We can't wait to see who he becomes.
Well, here are his stats from the pediatrician: weight - 13 pounds 2 ounces (75-80%), length - 23 & 3/4 inches (95%) head
circumference - 40 cm (60%). His doctor said that he behaves like a 3 month old and is in great shape, meeting all his milestones and "cooing and
gooing perfectly". Of course he also had to get some vaccines and that was so sad! I was talking to him and holding his little hand and when the nurse gave him the shot he got this shocked look on his face and then screamed...there were three pokes very close together and he was all red in the face and sobbing by then end. Luckily once I picked him up he settled quickly and went to sleep shortly after that!
We think that Levi is very smart and advanced! Here are some of the new things he can do since last month:
hold his head up very well
lift his head off the ground during tummy time and look around
hold and shake his "
dumbbell" rattle from Great Gran
coo & goo (as his doctor put it)
SMILE!
hit the toys hanging from his activity mat
and finally he has rolled over from tummy to back several times...I don't think he has mastered this at all yet, but he has done it once or twice the last 4 days in a row during tummy time.
And of course, I leave you with some pictures of my little sweet pea :)
Happy 2 month birthday!!
I love my Aunt Kate!
