Nate is really enjoying his preschool and is learning and maturing so much. He loves to "read" and be read to. His loves the Fly Guy series, Curduroy, Curious George and anything by Doreen Cronin. I think he will be reading on his own soon and become a book lover just like his mom and big brothers. He also has a stuffed animal obsession. At least 5 are in his bed at all time and he plays with them daily. His other favorite type of toy is anything to build with; legos, blocks, magnet tiles or Lincoln logs. Nater has also started to show an interest in sports and has been playing soccer and baseball with his brothers in the back yard. Won't be long and we will have 3 sports schedules to keep up with. Sheesh!

To celebrate Nathan's 5th birthday we had a "Lizard Hunting" birthday party with family at our house. Nate planned every part of the party which included a lunch of chili, chocolate cake covered with lizards and a Easter Egg style hunt for plastic lizards. He had a blast and so did his cousins! I hope he always keeps his love of nature and free spirited, independent mindset. We also took the kids to a hibachi restaurant on Nate's birthday for dinner and he had a blast and ate more than we thought possible!
We are trying to focus on the fun five year old Nathan and look past the occasional challenges. He is such a blessing to our family and he brings us a lot of joy. It's hard to believe that he will be starting kindergarten next year and moving on to the big kid stage of life. Watching him grow, change and learn is going to be wonderful!
