Fall Fun!
We had a lot of fun this fall! Levi went on his first hunting trip, for dove, with Dad and Papa. The big boys played soccer and each had a great season where they enjoyed playing and really improved their skills. We went to the Fort Worth Oktoberfest with friends and had a fun evening! Levi and Joel ran in their annual fun run at school and did a wonderful job. Joel had his school play "Turkeys Go On Strike" and was the cutest pumpkin in the second grade and sung his heart out while on stage. We also took a family trip out to the ranch to celebrate Philip's birthday, and had a really nice and relaxing time! During the visit, Levi shot his first deer and hog, Nate, Rachel and Joel caught a TON of fish and Philip had a chance to get in some well earned relaxation. Philip went on a trip to fly fish in Oklahoma with his Dad, and really enjoyed the scenery and time away. He also ran in his second annual Waco Tactical and Fitness shooting/obstacle race. The little kids and I took a trip to see all the pumpkins at the arboretum and had a blast with the cousins! It was a busy, but fun fall!

Thankful Thanksgiving!
We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Boyer side of our family this year, followed by a Christmas celebration the next day. As always, the kids loved their time with their "Abilene cousins" and were so glad to be able to play with them two days in a row. This year it was my turn to work on Thanksgiving, so I missed most of that day, but Philip and the kids enjoyed sharing a tasty meal, playing outside in the pretty fall weather and watching football at Papa and Nana D's house. Levi and Joel got to spend the night and the rest of us came back the following morning to celebrate Christmas together.
As usual, Erika planned some super fun "reindeer games" for the kids and they all had fun trying to win the silly contests and earn a prize. Rachel was even able to participate a little bit this year and loved feeling like a big kid. We had another yummy meal, opened gifts, and watched some Christmas movies. It was a great day!

Halloween!
We had another fun Halloween enjoying the holiday with family and friends! Levi & Joel ran in yet another Monster Triathlon, and again did a great job while having a lot of fun. We enjoyed our church trunk or treat and dressed up as a family of Avengers. Philip was hulk, I was Black Widow, Levi was Captain America, Joel was Wolverine, Nathan was Iron Man and Rachel was The Wasp. Nate had a blast participating in a costume parade and party at his preschool. On the 31st we carved pumpkins with Pop and Moe and then headed to our friend's neighborhood to trick or treat. It had been raining for weeks, but luckily the rain stopped at about 6pm and we were able to roam the streets with all the kids and they collected tons and tons of candy. It was a fun Halloween!
