Lovely Weather and Valentines!

Several days leading up to Valentine's gave us such lovely weather, and we enjoyed some fun afternoons playing in our new backyard. I grabbed my camera one of those days and snapped a bunch of pictures of my big boys enjoying our blessing of a yard. I can't wait until spring and summer when we can play outside most days; we are almost always happy when we are in the great outdoors :)

we go through a dozen or more apples a week!

Thanks to some great friends who watched Joel for me I was able to volunteer at Levi's Kindergarten Valentine's party on the 13th. The kids were all so cute and excited about their simple party and enjoyed making love bug head bands and playing candy heart bingo. We treated them with a fancy snack of chocolate dipped strawberries, heart cookies, cheese and pretzles. It was a big hit! The kids homework for the week was to hand label a valentine for each of the students in the class and Levi took the job very seriously. I have never seen him write so neatly and with such small letters. I told him he blew his cover and I now have a new expectation for his handwriting from now on :). I'm so glad I was able to celebrate with my little love bug and his class, it was so fun!

I worked on Valentine's Day this year, so as usual we kept it very low key. Philip had the boys to himself all day and they enjoyed the beautiful weather, but they also took the time to pick up some pretty flowers and yummy chocolate for me as well as making some adorable heart shaped cards. It was so sweet and fun to get my gifts when I got home from work. I also spoiled my boys by bringing home balloons and candy for Levi and Joel as well as gathering quite the spread for a "cheese plate dinner" for Philip and I after the boys were in bed. It was a nice, relaxing evening of eating too much and catching up on the DVR :). That's my kind of date night, and I feel very blessed to have 4 special boys to love in my life!

Levi worked so hard cutting out all the hearts :)
