Rachel is 6 Months Old!

Half a year has gone by since Rachel joined our family! She is at such a fun stage, and we are all enjoying her so much. Her hair is getting thicker and her eyes are still dark blue, but a little green and brown is starting to show up around her pupils. She's growing like a weed and changing all the time! Every day she is getting better at crawling and scooting to get wherever she wants to go. A few times she's even managed to get her self from laying down to sitting, so I know it won't be long and she be all over the house. Rachel continues to be a social baby and loves to "talk." This month she has added more consonants to her sounds and Philip and I are trying to get her to say dada and mama first. Maybe I'll win that game for the first time. The boys all love to tickle her because it is so easy to get her to laugh, and what a precious belly laugh she has! I'm trying so hard to soak in all her sweet baby cuteness because it's going so fast and I know she be a big girl in the blink of an eye.

New Skills:

babbles with vowels and consonants
eats purees pretty well off a spoon (she's loving sitting at the table with the family)
tries to drink from a sippy cup during meals

Our chubby little girl is a joy to be around and such a gift to our family. She has the best rolls, precious squishy cheeks and a full body scrunchy faced smile. Other than her night time sleeping habits she's pretty much the perfect baby. Ever since about 4.5 months of age she has been waking up at least 2 times often 3-4 times every night. I'm really missing her 10pm - 5am sleeping habit, and hoping it returns soon. But, if being sleep deprived means I get to spend my days laughing, play and snuggling with her sweetness, I'll take it! Slow down Lou Lou, we are enjoying your babyhood so much, no rush to grow up!
