Bye - Bye Beard!

Last week Philip shaved off his beard for the first time in over 2 years! Rachel had never seen him clean shaven, and her reaction was priceless! At first she was stunned and confused, but it progressed to a hysterical fear and nearly an hour of her crying every time he came near. Philip walked into the bathroom while she was bathing and she tried to hide from him by laying on her belly and ended up sucking in some water. It was sad and hilarious all at once. She would cry, cling to me and turn her head every time he came in the room. When he tried to get close she would scream "Go-way!" or "no, no noooo!" Poor baby girl! Philip and the boys had fun shaving his beard into some interesting styles and we all laughed a lot. It took a couple days, but Rachel finally warmed up to her Daddy's new look. However, she will still occasionally say, "Dada bear go bye bye?"
