Getting Ready to Get Hitched :)

My younger sister, Molly, was married this weekend! I'm going to break the posts into pre-wedding and day of. The wedding weekend was so fun, and every event turned out wonderful! On Thursday night myself, my sister Kate and Molly's long time friend Kameron hosted a simple lingerie shower for Molly. Some of her friends from out of town were able to be there as well as family, and it was perfect intimate group. We shared desserts and drinks while we played a couple fun games and Molly opened her gifts. It was a nice relaxed evening and my family enjoyed meeting some of Molly's NYC friends and her new family.

I had a blast making these fun cupcakes!
On Friday morning we all headed over to a bridal brunch and pool party hosted by two of my mom's good friends, Sue and Mary. The party was perfect for Molly and they had thought of every detail! They had coordinated the decor with the wedding colors, and even set out framed pictures of Molly enjoying the sun (she's a beach babe at heart) at all different ages. The food was delicious, and they made the cutest heart shaped ice cream desserts. After eating, all the bridesmaids, and attendants enjoyed relaxing in and around the pool!

Friday evening was the rehearsal and dinner at a pretty park on White Rock Lake (right across the lake from the wedding venue). The weather held off until we were all leaving, so everyone was able to enjoy all the lawn games and scenery. Melissa, a good friend of our family, did all the planning for this party since Ryan was organizing it from NYC, and she did a fantastic job! All the decorations were perfect and she included lots of cute details and personal touches. Ryan decided on a Tex-Mex meal and all the food was delicious! There were even homemade pies for dessert! It was a large crowd because all the family and out of town guests were included. We really enjoyed meeting some of Ryan and Molly's friends and learning of how much the are loved and supported in the far away land of New York!

I love how Molly and Ryan can be silly together
