Swim Team!

Levi and Joel joined the Bedford Splash swim team this summer. They enjoyed having practice every week and improving their strokes. Each Saturday in June and once in July we all woke up bright and early to cheer Levi and Joel on in their swim meets. They each competed in 3 races, usually backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke at either 25 or 50 yards. Considering it was their first year on the team and that they had nearly no true coaching on swimming they did a great job! The both placed in more than one race and earned ribbons. It was a good lesson in patience, when waiting on your turn to swim, perseverance, when practicing every day and giving it your all at meets and humility, because they realized there were a lot of swimmers better than them. They sure did look cute competing!
