Stockyards

Moe and Pop came over on Saturday and we all moseyed on down to the stockyards for some western fun and to see the cattle drive. We had so much fun! First we went to several of the shops and checked out the country gear. Levi loves hats and boots, so he had fun looking at all the cowboys hats and cowboy boots. He must know his Aunt Molly well because he kept pointing out hats and saying "Ant Mawyee dink dat hat pretty!" or "Ant Mawyee love deez boots!!" It was cute :) When I told him Moe & Pop were coming and we were going to go see some real cowboys he immediately went to get his hat and boots. At one of the stores he was even able to try out a saddle.

After some fun walking the street and enjoying the shops we sauntered down to watch the cowboys drive the longhorns down the cobblestone street. It was over pretty quick, but Levi enjoyed seeing the huge cattle and the adults did too. For being such huge cumbersome animals they were kind of graceful and pretty too.

When the drive was over we got burgers at the Love Shack (it was just ok) and then headed home. Thank you so much to Moe & Pop for a fun morning! It was great to experience some of Fort Worth's history with our wonderful family!
