This weekend we went to Abilene for our niece Kynlee's 6th birthday! Man how time flies...I remember holding her for hours as a newborn, she was just such a sweet snuggly baby! We had a wonderful time visiting with our family as always, and the weather was lovely too! Kynlee's party was so cute! She had a cupcake bake shop theme complete with aprons, hats and a decorating session. Tamara did such a great job putting it all together and the girls had a blast.
After the party we all headed over to the ball fields to watch Kadin
play his baseball game. He is one intense little player and really
talented as well! His team played great and won their game! Kadin had
some impressive hits, throws and catches and was so proud to have a big
cheering section there to see it all! Levi was very cute and cheered
loudly for each kid, but especially his big cousin Kadin (he's the
coolest boy in the world in Levi's current little world). All the little
fans got $1 snow cones which also made Levi a very happy little guy :)
After the game we had burgers at home, bathed the kids and put them to bed, and then the men stayed home while all the girls went out to the movies. We saw "What to Expect When You're Expecting." It had some funny moments, but over all we just thought it was weird. Even though the movie wasn't that great, it was so fun to get out with out the boys in tow and have some uninterrupted adult time. It has been FOREVER since I have gone to the movies with several friends...there were 5 of us and it was fun! Thanks again for such great hospitality, Longs! We always love our visits to Abilene and can't wait to see you all soon!
