Celebrating the 4th!

We had a lot of fun celebrating America's birthday this year! For the 4th year in a row we joined Philip's family at the Addison airport for Kaboom town on the third. Every year we have a blast and enjoy the great set up Allen's friends have. It is so nice to hang out at the hangar with easy access to a bathroom, shade and a huge pot luck dinner. We always enjoy the air show. This year Joel was SUPER excited about the airplanes. He would point out and announce every plane with great enthusiasm. Dinner was yummy, the fireworks were awesome and the drive home was much better this year (due to strategic parking by Philip). It's the perfect way to celebrate the great country where we are blessed to live!

this stunt pilot was crazy and did some scary loops very low
antique army planes doing formations...very cool!

On the actual fourth of July we had a very laid back day. In the morning we met some friends at "Autry's house" for a donut and fruit breakfast and swimming. It was a fun and relaxing way to start of the day. We headed home at lunch time and spent the rest of the day doing things around the house and playing with the boys. After a very late night on the third the boys were pooped, so we put them to bed early and enjoyed a little time on the couch catching up on our DVR TV shows :). It was nice to have a relaxing evening in for this tired first trimester momma! Happy Independence day everyone!
